You can change your W&B account type between academic and business. The process depends on the direction of the change.

Change from business to academic

If you signed up for W&B with a business email but qualify for an academic plan, link your academic email and apply for the academic plan:
  1. In your account settings, add your academic email and set it as your primary email.
  2. On the W&B academic application page, submit your application for review.

Change from academic to business

Changing from an academic plan to a business plan isn’t self-service. Contact W&B to make the change:
  1. Open a support request from the W&B contact page, or email W&B support.
  2. Include your account email, organization name, and the plan you want to move to.
  3. The W&B team updates your account type and helps you complete any required billing setup.
To update the email address on your account before changing account types, link the new email and set it as your primary email in your account settings. For information about available business plans, see W&B pricing.
